Food Manager Training
The My Food Service License Ohio Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) course provides food safety training, exams, and educational materials to foodservice managers. Students will earn the nationally accredited Certified Food Protection Manager Certification upon passing the proctored exam with a score of 75% or higher.
The program blends the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research, and years of food sanitation training experience. Managers learn to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety. All content and materials are based on actual job tasks identified by foodservice industry experts.
The My Food Service License Ohio Certified Food Protection Manager course is self-paced and allows students the ability to start and stop throughout the course. Hours of video, text, and interactive quizzes and puzzles allow students to learn through various learning styles.

Food Handler Training (Level 2)
My Food Service License offers an Ohio Level One Certification Training for Food Protection Managers. This course has been approved by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH # 89-117) as a Level One Person in Charge Food Protection Certification Course
Level One Certification in Food Protection is mandated training for the person in charge per shift of a risk level I, II, III, and IV food service operation or retail food establishment in the following instances: When a new foodservice operation or a new retail food establishment is licensed after March 1, 2010, unless the individual has completed an equivalent or more comprehensive certification in food protection course.
When a food service operation or retail food establishment has been implicated in a foodborne disease outbreak.
When the licensor has documented a failure to maintain sanitary conditions as per section 3717.29 of the Revised Code for a retail food establishment or section 3717.49 of the Revised Code for a foodservice operation.
Upon successful completion of your course and test, you will print your Ohio Level One Training Certificate.
The course is available in English and Spanish.
State Requirements: One person on staff who is certified.
Food Protection Manager: Required.
Food Handlers: Recommended but not required.
Exceptions: County requirements - contact your local health department.
Manager Training Hours: Ohio Department of Health requires 15 hours of training offered by a course provider that has been approved by the Ohio Department of Health.
Food Handler Course: Specific training regulations, please contact your local health department.
Food Manager Certification and Food Handler Certificate Renewal: Food Manager every 5 years; Food Handler every 2 years.
