The My Food Service License Arizona Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) course provides food safety training, exams, and educational materials to foodservice managers.

Food Handler Training 

In Mojave County, this course certificate still requires passing a test at the Health Department for a fee of $20.

My Food Service License online Food Handler Training course is approved for use in all other cities and counties in the State of Arizona, including Maricopa County. 

The course and examination take approximately 2 hours to complete and, on successful completion of the course, provides the trainee with a downloadable certificate and handler card. The certificate is provided for the establishment and the card is for the employee. 

This course uses state-of-the-art programming and can be used on all computers, tablets, and smartphones, without the need for any other downloads. 


Do not buy the Food Handler Training if you hold a valid Food Protection Manager Certification according to current food safety law.

This course takes approximately one hour to complete and, upon successful completion, provides a printable food handler certificate. This certificate is good for up to five years.

State Requirements:  Requirements differ between counties.

Food Protection Manager: Although certification is not mandatory in all counties, Food Protection Managers must demonstrate knowledge. Passing an accredited Food Safety Manager certification exam is one way to meet the requirement.

Food HandlersRequired - must take an approved course.

Exceptions: Maricopa, Coconino, and Pima counties require Food Protection Manager Certification.

Food Manager Certification and Food Handler Certificate Renewal: Every 3 years.
