Food Manager Training
The My Food Service License Florida Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) course provides food safety training, exams, and educational materials to foodservice managers.
The program blends the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research, and years of food sanitation training experience. Managers learn to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety. All content and materials are based on actual job tasks identified by foodservice industry experts.
The My Food Service License Florida Certified Food Protection Manager course is self-paced and allows students the ability to start and stop throughout the course. Hours of video, text, and interactive quizzes and puzzles allow students to learn through various learning styles.

Food Handler Training
My Food Service License provides online food handler training. Food handler training is optional in most areas of Florida and this course provides excellent food worker training to teach the important principles of food safety to food handlers.

Portions of the full certification training that only apply to food handlers who do not need to take an exam.
This training is a general food handler course. If your local health department requires a food handler card, you will need to take that course.
This course takes approximately one hour to complete and, upon successful completion, provides a printable food handler certificate. This certificate is good for up to five years.

State Requirements:
When there are less than four employees engaged in a food establishment, the Certified Food Protection Manager does not have to be present on the premises at all times. State requirements could vary, check with the local health department.
Food Protection Manager: Required - Minimum one certified manager per facility. One per shift if 4 or more employees.
Food Handlers: Must take a Florida approved Food Handler Course if the job requires the service of food preparation, display, or storage. Local requirements could vary, check with the local health department.
Exceptions: None.
Manager Training Hours: Not required for certification but recommended.
Food Handler Course: Required state-approved course: 2 hours.
Food Manager Certification and Food Handler Certificate Renewal: Food Manager every 5 years; Food Handler every 3 years.
